Dee Dee Brogan:
Whether singing on the back porch bar stool, a stage with bright lights, or an intimate dark little joint, Dee Dee Brogan brings a sultry innocence with a mix of powerful pop to her listeners. This Knoxville Artist never disappoints as she teams up with the multi-talented Julius Blue and the band. From showstoppers, to acoustic sets, a bit of jazz, a touch of country, and the modern songs of today, Dee Dee knows how to pull in her listeners and have them wanting just a little more. The duets that Dee Dee and Julius perform together at their shows are hauntingly beautiful. Knoxvilles best-kept secret is making their mark. A night spent listening to this duo, promises to be a night remembered.
Til They Bang on the Door marks Lucy Woodward's long-awaited solo return, her first full-length album in six years. Co-produced by keyboardist Henry Hey (David Bowie, George Michael) and bassist Michael League (Snarky Puppy), Woodward's debut release on GroundUP Music is a strong artistic statement, full of clever orchestration, relatable storytelling and rich harmonies. Bang follows well-received titles recorded for Atlantic Records -- which yielded a Top 40 hit -- and Verve Records, which coincidentally distributes the GroundUP label.
In addition to her solo career, Woodward has recorded with Rod Stewart, Chaka Khan, Celine Dion, Carole King, and Joe Cocker, and has toured as a band member filling in for the lead singer of Pink Martini. Her songs and vocals have been heard in movies including What a Girl Wants, The Blind Side, Music and Lyrics, First Daughter and Ice Princess.
