The Lonetones have been called Americana, Folk Rock, Indie Folk, Folk Pop, Modern Folk, Folkadelic.... Driven by the songwriting of Steph Gunnoe and Sean McCollough, the band artfully fuses urban and rural themes and musical styles. The lyrics are fueled by a search for identity in the changing Appalachian landscape. Sometimes you’ll catch them playing banjo and mandolin. Other times, electric guitar and keyboards
Red Shoes & Rosin play instruments with strings…usually with 4, 5, or 6 strings. They love singing harmonies and sometimes melodies. They love oldtime, traditional, and folk music traditions, but do not claim any of these for ourselves. They like tuning their instruments too much, playing songs with more than 3 chords, and just recently realized they really like electrifying their shit.
