Open Chord hosts Andy Wood, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and Andy Timmons come together for one night to play at Jackson Terminal
Multi-instrumental musician, Andy Wood, and sensational blues musician, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, along with special guest and influential guitarist, Andy Timmons, make their way to Knoxville promoting Wood’s new album JUNKTOWN.
Wood, Kingfish and Timmons will hit the stage at Jackson Terminal on Wednesday, October 2 presented by Open Chord.

Andy Wood
Coming from a musical family in East Tennessee, Wood started playing the mandolin at age five and was influenced by bluegrass and country music. He went on to place in the top of multiple music competitions. At 16, he came in second at the world championship mandolin contest in Winfield, Kansas. At 18, Wood started playing the electric guitar – in addition to the mandolin and acoustic guitar – and the rest is history.
In his early 20s, Wood discovered the rock stars Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, and Paul Gilbert. He started to incorporate their musical styles into his own. Wood entered Guitar Center’s Guitarmeggadon National Guitar Competition and won.

In Knoxville, Wood is known for his time with the musical group Down From Up. They released their first album and went on tour opening up for 10 Years.
Wood has gone on to release a solo album, “A Disconcerting Amalgam” and work with a plethora of famous acts some including: Locash, Rascal Flatts, Scott Stapp, and 10 Years.
In addition to his solo work, Wood is also part of the Kennedy Wood Band with Nashville singer/songwriting Dave Kennedy.

Accompanying Wood on tour in Knoxville is blues artist, Christone Ingram. At just 20 years old, Christone, or “Kingfish”, as he likes to be called, is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. From Clarksdale, Mississippi, Kingfish has been surrounded by the great blues musicians his entire life. His debut album, “KINGFISH,” is out now. On this album, he declares that he is ready to get out of the town he grew up in and discover the world. "I do think I have an old soul, that I've been here before," according to his Facebook. "I'm moving forward with one foot in the past."
While Wood is promoting his newest album, “JUNKTOWN,” Kingfish is on his first headlining tour: "Fish Grease: A Juke Joint Tour." In addition to his own tour, Kingfish has opened 13 shows for Vampire Weekend while on their tour.
“KINGFISH” released at number one on the Billboard “Blues” and “Heatseekers” charts. He is taking the musical world by storm by receiving continuous play time on the radio and fans lining up to meet him after shows.

Wood and Kingfish’s special guest, Timmons, is no stranger to the music world. Having been part of bands such as Danger Danger, Pawn Kings, and Andy Timmons band, he has opened for a vast number of big-name acts like KISS and Alice Cooper. Timmons is also a session guitarist, so he has been featured on countless albums. Some including Paula Abdul, Simon Phillips, Olivia Newton-John, Paul Stanley and a variety of others.
Timmons is from Evansville, Indiana, and started playing music when he was 13 years old.
“Early on, I realized that making it in a rock band was such a long-shot, that I better figure out other ways of making a living playing guitar,” he said on his website. “I began reading about players like Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton who made their living as session musicians. This really appealed to me, since I really loved a wide variety of musical styles.”
Since his musical beginnings, Timmons has been all over the country – and world – studying and releasing music. According to his website, Timmons has consistently won awards for his musical talent: ““Top 20 Favorite Guitarist” in a majority of Japan’s rock music magazine’s reader polls, as well as being voted “Musician of the Year” four years in a row in the Dallas Observer Music Awards.”
All three artists will take the stage at Open Chord’s Jackson Terminal on October 2nd. Tickets are still available for $25 a piece for general admission. Reserved seating tickets are $35 each. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. All ages are welcomed.
